Moodjuice is a great website if you want to work on a specific mental health difficulty such as stress, anxiety, self-esteem, sleeping problems, etc. It provides useful self-help guides and downloadable problem solving handouts that you can use to work on low-medium level mental health difficulties.

HeadSpace acts as your personal mind trainer, and offers a series meditation sessions and resources to help you focus and improve your mental wellbeing. It offers sessions to enhance your personal performance, relationships and health. You can subscribe to a free 10-day trial, but in order to unlock the full content you will have to pay a fee.

Beating the Blues

Beating the Blues is a CBT-based computer self-help course for people who feel anxious, stressed, depressed or down. It consists of eight weekly sessions lasting about 50 minutes with weekly projects to do in between. It’s completely confidential and sessions can be completed at times that suit you.

Beating the Blues is available on the NHS in some areas, or you can pay £149 to do the course privately. Ask your GP for NHS funding availability.

FearFighter

FearFighter is a CBT-based online self-help course for treating panic and phobias. It consists of nine computer-based sessions lasting about an hour each. The course explains how anxiety affects the mind and body and helps you to face the things you fear and avoid.

FearFighter is available on the NHS in some areas with a referral from your GP or another health professional. You can also pay to do the course privately.

Ieso digital health

Ieso digital health offers live, confidential one-to-one cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with a therapist via secure instant messaging. It’s available to anyone with common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, pain management, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias and stress management.

Ieso is available to NHS patients in some areas. You can also buy private CBT sessions directly through Thinkwell, Ieso’s website for paying clients.
